Let's explore the key steps involved in crafting GravCap
Malted Grains and Mash:
Carefully selected malted grains are combined with water as they enter the mash-tun in a process called mashing, converting starches into fermentable sugars and creating the pre-beer known as wort. We then transfer the beer to the boil kettle.
Hops and Boiling:
The wort is brought to a boil in the kettle, where hops are added to impart bitterness, aroma, and flavor to the beer. We then transfer the wort through a heat exchanger into a fermentation vessel.
Fermentation:
Yeast is added to the cooled wort, initiating fermentation. Yeast consumes sugars, converting them into alcohol and carbon dioxide while infusing the beer with distinct flavors/esters.
Maturation and Conditioning:
The beer undergoes conditioning to refine flavors, clarify and develop complexity, due to cold crashing.
Carbonation and Packaging:
After maturation, the beer is carbonated and kegged.
